As part of our strategy to expand our cybersecurity training and innovative solutions we are looking for a Cyber Security Lead to assist in developing cyber security labs and penetration testing services.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Create customized training programs for experienced IT professionals that will help them demonstrate their ability to lawfully assess security of systems and discover vulnerabilities.
• Initiate and develop partnership programs for schools within the region that will provide hands-on cybersecurity learning activities at each level of education.
• Plan, write and create cyber security training material and participate in delivery of the content for Inceptor.
• Analyze industry trends in tooling and techniques and recreate that as teachable content
• Support running various events such as Capture The Flag (CTF) and Cyber Security workshops for Inceptor.
• Proactively engage SME’s within the region to ensure that they develop full visibility of their deployed information systems and start a path to a higher cyber security maturity level based on current industry standards.
• Develop community-labs dedicated to cyber security research by engaging Inceptor’s alumni and other community members who aspire to make a contribution in the field of cyber security.

Requirements

• Bsc in Computer Science, Information Systems or Electrical Electronics with Minimum 2.2
• Preferably certified in all or part of the following – ISACA CISM, CISSP, CCSP, CEH, CISA, CCNP (Security)
• Have experience working in the industry in a technical security related role e.g. Penetration Tester, SOC Analyst, Security Engineer or systems administrator.

• Have a strong technical understanding of networking, computing and cyber security
• Have experience in two or more of the following areas:
  • Web application security
  • Network security
  • Linux Security
  • Windows Security
  • IPS/IDS/VPN/Security Scanning Tools
• Ability to develop and configure vulnerable virtual machines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to break down advanced cyber security concepts to non-technical folks.
• Creating challenges for capture the flags (CTFs) for different levels of expertise.
• Programming experience in any of the following: Python, PHP, Bash, PowerShell
